A Visit to the Narayana Old Age Home

An afternoon at Narayan old age home we visit with koshish team.
Group members relax and enjoy the company of "Mohini dadi" she looks beutiful she shared our life experience and her life real story how she came old age home.
We talked  to the old man and heard about the food they are given and the place they live in and I found their plight tragic. One old man cried as he told us how he used to sacrifice everything for his children and his children's gift to him in return was to throw him in the old-age home, never to visit him. They all long to return to their homes and live with their family. They feel cheated after all the years of love and care they had given to their children, but their children seems to have left them to their fate.
These home are for those who are childless and do not have anyone to look after them. Surprisingly, in the homes for the aged, there are many inmates who are put there as their children find them a burden. I remember a photograph published in a newspaper about some of these old people and reading about an old woman who said she was thrown out of the house by her brother just to please his wife! While an old handicapped man was put in one of the homes by his son to get rid of the burden of looking after him. we were shocked at these happenings.

*BETIYAAN*-STOP KILLING BABY GIRLS

Koshish group to make people aware that people are still killing baby girls because they wanted a boy instead. we need to make everyone aware that this evil act is still carried out today not only in india but also in the rest of the world. We need to put a stop to this.

It is estimated that some 10 million girls were lost in

India over the last 20 years. The national average gender ratio (female to

male) has gone down from 972 in 1901 to 933 in 2001. The number is a lot
lower (as low as 500-700) in some selected areas of various states.

Diwali celebrated with slum childrens

Diwali is celebrated in a year by us. But this time the koshish group & volunteers got the opportunity to celebrate Diwali with a difference. Our gwalior team came together & had the real blast with the kids of the 4 slums & their parents. Children thronged to the celebration like flies & hence changed this event into a real festival.

Then came the D-Day, 23th October 2011, unraveling lots of surprises... Around 60 children made up to this event! We got a mind-boggling response from hazira pul situated  parents & kids. Almost everyone came except 3 kids. So me & Rajiv rushed there immediately for them. Also Special Thanks to Akash & Tarun who hurried for Birla nagar kids & families especially pinky & her parents who have emerged as the biggest challenge before us. It would have been great if jaisee meel colony parents too could make up for this event but anyways we will try to rope them in on Children’s Day celebrations.

Children need

Children Need Both a Mother and a Father?

The presumption that children need both a mother and a father is widespread. It has been used

by proponents of Proposition 8 to argue against same-sex marriage and to uphold a ban on same-sex adoption.

Eco-friendly Diwali

The awareness to celebrate Diwali in an eco-friendly way has caught up in Gwalior city. Almost all city groups this year have decided to celebrate this festival without jeopardizing the environment. Not only plans have been finalized to exclusively use Eco-friendly crackers, but Diwali extravaganzas will cut on sounds too, to check noise pollution.

Feed under privileged people

“If you can't feed all the underprivileged people, then feed

just one today”.

Four way of koshsih

There are four way।

(Education)
(Self-realization)
  3. अध्यात्म (Spiritualization); और

Koshish group
